Apple Mail vs Gmail 2020 Which is better?

So, you guys are existing users of the iPhone or you just have bought an iPhone and while setting it up you or using it in your daily life you randomly came with a question in your mind that which mailing app suits you the best is it the stock Apple Mail or the most commonly used Gmail/Google Mail? According to me, both the apps perform fairly impressive but everyone knows that anything in this world is not perfect everybody, have their own mindsets of what they specifically need and the same scenario applies to these apps too. In this blog I'll compare both of the mailing apps in each and every aspect so that you get help in deciding the best one for yourself.

Both the apps have been build by the companies which are performing magnificently in their respective domains. Gmail, as we all know is used by almost all the android users and according to me this is the only best app they get which provides everything but that is not the case with the iPhone users they have two options either they could go with the default mailing app or can download Gmail app from Appstore.

Both the apps have a pretty good design and are minimal but the Apple mail has now become more minimal and alluring after the latest update and it feels more comfortable in composing mails there, on the other hand, Gmail looks a bit filled up and congested.

It displays more content of the mail in preview than the stock app and you can't change it there but you can change it in the Apple mail by going into the settings and further into the mail option. You can also preview the emails by using 3D touch provided by iPhones.

Both the apps provide you with mostly every mail service that usually a person needs like Yahoo, Outlook, etc. But you get an extra option in default mail app of adding an AOL account but most of us don't need it therefore, it goes to individual preference.

I think before preferring any mailing app this point is the most important and crucial one to discuss because this is one of the main parts of any mailing app. The world is growing its dependence on automation and the same thing defines the worthiness of any particular mailing app. As an example, If the app differentiates the mails itself and does not give much burden to us than the app is totally worth it to download. Let us take another example that you get emails from different websites some for promotion purposes and some are your official work emails what will it feel like if you have mixed emails and you are extracting the useful one that too one by one? pretty irritating right? and what it feels when the app does it for you? pretty awesome right. So, in this case, the Gmail is good then the Default mailing app as it have different section for a different kind of mails default app also have different sections but the Gmail have more organized ones.

Talking about attachments in Gmail you have the option of attaching files from camera roll and from Google Drive and in Apple mail you get the option to attach the files from apple files and camera roll. Earlier it was difficult to attach files in Apple mail but now after the latest updates things have changed. Although it is easy to attach files in both the apps but now in the default app it has become easier than ever. While composing you get an option to attach files above your keyboard itself you just have to simply click on it and add files.

Composing an email again goes to person to person preference but Apple mail gives you some great option while composing. Although Gmail also provides you with options that are more than sufficient for any type of email whether it's a formal one or informal one but what if you want to be a bit creative? Apple mail helps you with it you surely get an option for attachment but with that you get options like sending drawings also. You can create something attractive through the drawing option and send that along with the email and then you have the option of Text editing too which helps to look your email bit more formal and the biggest option you get is of scanning documents at the same time you are writing. You can think of a situation when you are writing a very urgent Email and you have to attach an important document also and that too scanned in this case this feature comes in handy you can easily click on the option scan the particular document and attach it. Another plus point is that you get more freedom on Apple mail than you get on Gmail for customizing things according to you. There are many options in settings which you can explore yourself.

Overall, Both the app performs great and does almost every task that a normal person needs to do. It all goes to personal preferences but the default Apps, as usual, have an edge over the other because they are designed especially for that particular device that we're using.
